Supplier verification

Verify a Chinese supplier before you commit

Kuai Sourcing verifies a Chinese supplier by pulling its business license and Unified Social Credit Code from the government register, visiting the address to confirm it manufactures rather than resells, and checking that the receiving bank account name matches the registered company. You see the findings before you commit.

Business license and registration

We pull the record from the official government register using the Unified Social Credit Code, and read the legal name, the registered business scope and how long the company has been trading. A scope that does not cover your product is the first thing that shows up.

Factory or trading company

We go to the address on the license. The question is whether the company makes your product or buys it from someone who does. Either can be worth buying from, but the price and the lead time you should expect are different, and a profile page will not tell you which one is quoting you.

Compliance certificates

We take the certificates the supplier claims (ISO, CE, RoHS and the rest) and check them against the issuing body rather than accepting the PDF. Kuai Sourcing holds ISO 9001 for its own quality management; the certificates we verify here are the supplier's, not ours.

Bank account name

The account the money reaches has to belong to the company on the license. A request to pay a personal account, a Hong Kong entity or a third company under a different name is the most common way an importer loses a deposit, and it is the fastest check on this list.

Tax registration

We confirm the company is registered for tax and currently filing. A supplier that is not in good standing with the tax authority may also be unable to issue the export documents your customs broker will ask for.

Export history

We look at whether the company has exported before, and where to. A factory that has only ever sold inside China is not disqualified, but it means the export paperwork, the packing standard and the port handover will be new to them as well as to you.

How the check runs

Four steps, all of them finished before any money moves.

  1. You name the supplier, or you do not

Send the company name, the Alibaba or 1688 store link, or just the product. If Kuai Sourcing is finding the factory for you, the check runs on the ones we shortlist. If you already picked a supplier, we check that one.

  2. Document check against the register

License, Unified Social Credit Code, registered scope, tax status and export records, read from the official register rather than from the files the supplier sends over chat. A trading company presenting itself as a factory usually becomes obvious here.

  3. Visit to the address

Someone goes to the site, photographs the production line and the machines, and confirms the capacity on the profile is the capacity in the building.

  4. Findings, before you pay

You get what we found in writing. If it puts the order at risk, Kuai Sourcing can reject the request before any payment is taken, and you are told the specific reason in your dashboard or by email.

Submitting a real sourcing request needs an account with a confirmed email address and a verified phone number. Kuai Sourcing verifies buyers as well as suppliers, which is the same reason your supplier gets checked.

What a platform badge does and does not prove

Gold Supplier and Verified are a paid listing tier plus a document check. They are good evidence that a company exists and pays to be there. They are not designed to tell you whether the seller manufactures your product, what its real capacity is, or whose bank account you are about to wire money to.

The questionWhat the badge coversWhat Kuai Sourcing checks
Does the company legally exist?Yes, this is what the badge is for.Confirmed against the government register, with the registered business scope read as well.
Factory or reseller?Outside what the badge covers.Established on site, at the address printed on the license.
Who owns the receiving bank account?Outside what the badge covers.Account name matched to the licensed entity before any payment is made.
How much can it actually produce?Self reported on the profile.Photographed on the line during the visit.
Will the goods be right?Outside what the badge covers.Checked at pre-shipment inspection. The supplier is paid only after it passes.

What we do not claim

Verification lowers risk, it does not remove it. Kuai Sourcing publishes no risk reduction percentage, does not certify factories, and does not quote duty or tax rates, because those depend on the HS code and the destination and are quoted per shipment. The narrower commitment is the checkable one: you pay Kuai Sourcing rather than the factory, and the supplier is paid only after the pre-shipment inspection passes.

Questions buyers ask about Chinese suppliers

How do I know if my Alibaba supplier is a factory or a middleman?
Read the business scope on the company's license, not the profile page. A manufacturer's registered scope names production; a trading company's names wholesale or import and export. Kuai Sourcing pulls that record from the government register and then goes to the address to see whether the machines are there. Both kinds can be worth buying from, but you should know which one is quoting you.
My supplier asked me to pay a different company name. Is that normal?
Treat it as a stop. The receiving account name should match the company on the business license. A switch to a personal account, a Hong Kong entity or an unrelated third company is the most common way an importer loses a deposit, and it sometimes means the sales account has been compromised. With Kuai Sourcing the question does not come up: you pay Kuai Sourcing, and we pay the supplier.
What is a Unified Social Credit Code and where do I check it?
It is the 18 character code printed on every Chinese business license, the equivalent of a company registration number. It is the key to the national enterprise register, where the legal name, registered capital, business scope and current status are public. Kuai Sourcing checks the code against that register, because a document sent over chat can be edited and a register entry cannot.
Is the Gold Supplier or Verified badge worth anything?
It is worth something, and less than most buyers assume. The badges confirm a paid listing and a document check, so the company exists. They are not built to tell you whether the seller manufactures your product, what its real capacity is, or whose bank account you will be paying. Kuai Sourcing checks those three separately.
What happens if a supplier fails your checks?
Kuai Sourcing can reject the sourcing request before any payment is taken, and you are told the specific reason in your dashboard or by email. Where the problem is fixable, an expired certificate or a mismatched account name for example, we go back to the supplier first. Where it is not, we source the product from a different factory.
Can you verify a supplier I found myself?
Yes. Kuai Sourcing will check and negotiate with a supplier you already chose, not only factories from our own network. Send the company name or the store link with the sourcing request. If you would rather we find the factory, the check runs on the ones we shortlist before any of them is quoted to you.
Does verification mean my money is protected?
Verification lowers the risk of dealing with the wrong company. The payment structure is what protects the money. You pay Kuai Sourcing rather than the factory, and the supplier is paid only after the pre-shipment inspection passes, so the goods are checked while the money is still on our side.
